Visions of John

  I was on the Greek island of Patmos today. Tradition says the book of Revelation was written in a cave above the harbor. The cave now has a building attached and they don’t allow photographs. It belongs to a 11th century monastery at the top of the mountain. You can’t see much of it in my photo, it is on the top of the mountain.
  My Dad visited here in the 60’s. According to sister Adele, he had to hire a small boat to bring him to the island. While looking at an icon of John of Patmos (not the Apostle John) Dad had a vision of John. A monk told him this was a common occurrence. 
  The cave is through that doorway. With or without Revelation, Patmos is worth the trip.
